How to Begin With Viruppappadi

                        

Stage 1: [Installation]

                         Please Go Through the Installation Manual.

Stage 2: [Product Activation]

                         Before Starting Viruppappadi Package on Execution You Must Activate Your Copy of Viruppappadi With Our Internet Server.

There are two ways Available for Activation:

1. Direct Internet Activation.

             [Before Starting this Process Please Ensure that the Internet Connection is made]

Ø Open Start Menu > All Programs > Sarma's Solutions and Products > Viruppappadi 1.1 > Internet Activation Link.

Ø Enter Owner's Name /Registration Name on Owner Name Field.

Ø Enter the User's E-Mail id on E-Mail ID Field.

Ø Enter the User's Full Contact Information & Purchase Information on Office-Home Address Field.

Ø Press Activate Button.

Ø After this You Will Get One Serial Number From Our Server. Please Keep This Number For Further Contact with Us.

Ø Press Exit Button.

Ø After Validation of Your Request We Will Post the Activation Key on Internet Server. It will take 3 - 24 Hours.

Ø After Receiving Confirmation E-Mail From Our Server Open Internet Activation Link. <See First Step>.

Ø Now Press Activate Button.

Ø Your Viruppappadi Software Will Get Activated With Our Internet Server.

Ø Press Exit Button.

Ø Now you may Start Using Viruppappadi Software.

2. Via E-Mail.

Ø Open Start Menu > All Programs > Sarma's Solutions and Products > Viruppappadi 1.1 > Software Registration Link.

Ø Enter Owner's Name /Registration Name on Owner Name Field.

Ø Enter the User's E-Mail id on E-Mail ID Field.

Ø Enter the User's Full Contact Information & Purchase Information on Office-Home Address Field.

Ø Press Gen Request Button.

Ø Now the Registration Program Will asks you to Save Request File into Your Hard Disk. Select the Target Location and Save as Named Request.REQ.

Ø Press Exit Button.

Ø Open Your E-Mail Client [Ex: Outlook / Outlook Express [or] Hotmail / Gmail /Rediffmail Account] and Create an E-Mail to Our Address AUW@Sarma.co.in . And Attach the Request.REQ File. Enter Your Contact Information, Purchase Information On E-Mail Body and Send.

Ø We Will Send the Activation Key After Validation to Your E-Mail Account.

Ø Download the Attachment From Our E-Mail and Store into Your Hard Disk. [Ex: C:\]. [Our E-Mail Attachment Contains Only <Owner Name>.XTM File. For Ex: if Owner Name is Raja then Our E-Mail Will Have Raja.XTM and Will Come from REG.AUW@Sarma.co.in. if any other file is received with the above file please ignore the attachment to avoid any Virus affection.]

Ø Now Again Open Start Menu > All Programs > Sarma's Solutions and Products > Viruppappadi 1.1 > Software Registration Link.

Ø Enter Owner's Name /Registration Name on Owner Name Field. [Owner Name are Case Sensitive]

Ø Press Load Activation Button.

Ø The Registration Program Will asks to locate the Activation File. Choose the Downloaded Activation File From Your Hard-Disk or CD-ROM / Floppy / Flash Card.

Ø After Storing the Activation Key File with Viruppappadi Software You Will get Success Message from Registration Program.

Ø Press Exit Button.

Usage and Functionality

Display Language

Viruppappadi Software Contains Language Switching Facility. This will help the User to Read / View the Menus & Control Labels Both in Tamil and English.

 

How to Switch / Change the Language?

                   On Default, Viruppappadi Software Displays Menus & Labels in English Language. For Switching over to Tamil / English.

Ø Open Start Menu > All Programs > Sarma's Solutions and Products > Viruppappadi 1.1 > Keyboard Settings Link.

Ø On Keyboard Setting Page under the Display Settings Panel there is Display Language Combo Box Containing the Language Options.

Ø Choose the Display Language from the Combo Box that you want.

Ø For Ex: If want Switch to Tamil Please Select Tamil [ta-IN] From the Combo Box and Press Exit Button.

Ø Close All Programs [Viruppappadi Software Tools]. Now the Display Language is configured to Tamil and the Viruppappadi Software Menus & Labels are shown in Tamil Language.


Dictionary Language Transliteration

             In Viruppappadi Software English Tamil Dictionary Utility Supports 8 Indian Language Transliterations and 1 International Roman Phonetic Script. This facilitates the user to read Tamil Meanings in 9 Transliterated Language Outputs.  A User Knowing Only English / other Indic Languages Can Read Or Learn the Tamil Meanings / Equivalent for English Words. Those Tamil Meanings Can be Viewed in 8 Indian & 1 Phonetic Roman Script.

 

How to Change the Transliteration Script?

             On Default, Viruppappadi Software Displays Tamil Meanings in Roman Script.

Ø Open Start Menu > All Programs > Sarma's Solutions and Products > Viruppappadi 1.1 > Keyboard Settings Link.

Ø On Keyboard Setting Page under the Display Settings Panel there is Dic Transliteration Combo Box Containing the Transliteration Script Options.

Ø Choose the Transliteration Script from the Combo Box that you want.

Ø For Ex: If want Read/View the Transliterated Tamil Meanings in Telugu Script then Please Select Telugu  From the Combo Box and Press the Exit Button.

Ø Close All Programs [Viruppappadi Software Tools].

Ø Open the English Tamil Dictionary Viewer. Now the English Tamil Dictionary Meanings Will Get Transliterated & the Output Will be shown in Telugu.

 

 


Show Application in Taskbar:

             If the User intends viewing the Keyboard Layout on the Top of All Applications, the user must enable the Show Application in Taskbar. By Default this feature is normally disabled. And also the Grammar Checking Results can be viewed only when this feature is enabled.

 

How to Enable / disable this Feature?

             On Default, Viruppappadi Software Show Application in Taskbar Option is disabled.

Ø Open Start Menu > All Programs > Sarma's Solutions and Products > Viruppappadi 1.1 > Keyboard Settings Link.

Ø On Keyboard Setting Page under the Display Settings Panel there is Show Application in Taskbar Check Box Containing the Keyboard Layout Visible Option.

Ø For Ex: If the user wants Show the Keyboard Layout Window, then  Check/Tick the Show Application in Taskbar Check Box and Press the Exit Button. If Display is not needed just make the Checkbox as Unchecked.

Ø Close All Programs [Viruppappadi Software Tools].

Ø Open the Viruppappadi Software. Now the Keyboard Layout Window Appears on Top of all Applications. During Usage of Viruppappadi the User May Like to Hide the Keyboard Layout Window. Then Just Click the Hide Me Menu on Keyboard Layout Window.

 

 


 

Font Family Name:

Viruppappadi Software Contains 117 Font Family [Encodings] Keyboard Drivers. The User May Select the Font Family Name from the List and Make it default Font Encoding for Typing.

 

How to Choose Default Font Encoding/Family?

Ø Open Start Menu > All Programs > Sarma's Solutions and Products > Viruppappadi 1.1 > Keyboard Settings Link.

Ø On Keyboard Setting Page under the Default Input Font Family Panel there is Font Family Name Combo Box Containing the 117 Font Families[Encodings] Name List.

Ø For Ex: If the user wants TAM99 [TAMIL NET99] as default, then Select TAM99 [TAMILNET 99] From the Combo Box and Press the Exit Button.

Ø Close All Programs [Viruppappadi Software Tools].

Ø Open the Viruppappadi Software. Now the Viruppappadi Software Loads the Driver for TAM99 [TAMILNET 99] Font Scheme / Font Encoding/ Font Family. Now the User may Type in TAM99 Based Fonts.

 

?        How to identify individual fonts with their families?

  Open Start Menu > All Programs > Sarma's Solutions and Products > Viruppappadi 1.1 > Font Grouping Link.

  The Font Grouping Program Will Show Sort & Grouped that Installed Tamil Fonts with Proper Font Families.

 


Keyboard Scheme:

                         Viruppappadi Software Contains 18 Keyboard Layouts. The User May Select the required / Choice of Keyboard Layout from the List and Make it default for Typing.

 

How to Choose Default Keyboard Layout / Scheme?

Ø Open Start Menu > All Programs > Sarma's Solutions and Products > Viruppappadi 1.1 > Keyboard Settings Link.

Ø On Keyboard Setting Page under the Default Input Keyboard Layout Panel there is Keyboard Scheme Combo Box Containing the 14 keyboard Layout Name List.

Ø For Ex: If the user wants TAM99 [TAMIL NET99] as default, then Select TAM99 [TAMIL NET 99] From the Combo Box and Press the Exit Button.

Ø Close All Programs [Viruppappadi Software Tools].

Ø Open the Viruppappadi Software. Now the Viruppappadi Software Loads the Driver for TAM99 [TAMIL NET 99] keyboard Scheme. Now the User may Type in TAM99 Keyboard Scheme.

 

Usage:

?        I have practiced with TAM99 Keyboard. Now I Want to Type a Document Using TSCII Based Fonts. How is it Possible?

ü  Yes it is Possible to Type TSCII Based Fonts in TAM99 Keyboard Layout.

  Open Start Menu > All Programs > Sarma's Solutions and Products > Viruppappadi 1.1 > Keyboard Settings Link.

  Select TSCII-Encoding the Font Family Name in Default Input Font Family Panel →Font Family Name List.

ü  Select TAM99 [TAMIL NET99] from Default Input Keyboard Layout Panel → Keyboard Scheme List

ü  And Press Exit Button. Close All Programs [Viruppappadi Software Tools].

ü  Now Open the Viruppappadi Software And Start Typing Tamil Content in TSCII Font Using TAM99 Keyboard Layout.

 

?        I am New to Tamil Typing. I Don't Know Any Keyboard Layout. Now i Need to Type a Document Using TAM99 Font. What to Do?

  Open Start Menu > All Programs > Sarma's Solutions and Products > Viruppappadi 1.1 > Keyboard Settings Link.

  Select TAM99 [TAMIL NET 99] as the Font Family Name in Default Input Font Family Panel →Font Family Name List.

ü  Select Transliteration from Default Input Keyboard Layout Panel → Keyboard Scheme List

ü  And Press Exit Button. Close All Programs [Viruppappadi Software Tools].

ü  Now Open the Viruppappadi Software And Start Typing Tamil Content in TAM99 [TAMIL NET 99] Using Transliteration Keyboard Layout. This Keyboard Layout helps the user to type Tamil Document in English Phonetic alphabets.

 

 

 


 

Reverse Functionality:

                         Some of the Tamil Typewriting Users Practice with Reverse Mode.

(Eg: க்=; + f. But Usual Typewriting Keyboard Layouts Support Only க்=f + ;. To overcome this, Reverse Functionality Option Which helps in 4 kinds of Typewriting Keyboard Layouts with Reverse Functionality Option can be used.]

 

[Remember: Pure Remington Based Users Need Not Select this Option. They may use Typewriting Remington [Xtra] Keyboard Layout for Typing. This Keyboard Layout is designed for reverse mode.]

 

How to Enable / disable this Feature?

             On Default, Viruppappadi Software Reverse Functionality Option is disabled.

Ø Open Start Menu > All Programs > Sarma's Solutions and Products > Viruppappadi 1.1 > Keyboard Settings Link.

Ø On Keyboard Setting Page under the Default Input Keyboard Layout Panel there is Reverse Functionality Check Box Containing the Reverse Mode Option.

Ø For Ex: If the user wants Reverse Mode Typewriting, then  Check/Tick the Reverse Functionality Check Box and Press the Exit Button. If Reverse Mode is not needed then just make the Checkbox as Unchecked.

Ø Close All Programs [Viruppappadi Software Tools].

Ø Open the Viruppappadi Software. Now the Typewriting Mode will become as Reverse Mode.

 

 

 


 

Enable Auto Insert:

                         One of the Unique features of Viruppappadi is Auto Insert. This Facility Helps the Users to Insert a Word or Sentence or even a Whole Paragraph with Customized Short-cut Keys or Words. Maximum Range of Collection is more than 10,000. The Main Feature of Auto Insert is fully key-strokes based Short-cuts. So Users can easily remember the Lingual Short-Cuts.

 

[E.g.

If a User wants to Insert அரசாங்க ஆணை Which is often used in the Correspondence then the user can assign Short-Cut Keys Like GO <Government Order>[or] AA <Arasanga Aanai>[or] GI <Government Instruction>.

If a User wants to Insert மாண்புமிகு தமிழக முதலமைச்சர் Which is often used in the Correspondence then the user can assign Short-Cut Keys Like CM<Chief Minister>.

If a User wants to Insert தமிழ்நாடு அரசு போக்குவரத்துக் கழகம் Which is often used in the Correspondence then the user can assign Short-Cut Keys Like TNSTC <Tamilnadu State Transport Corporation>.

With this facility Users Can Insert குறுந்தகவல் சேவை By Using   SMS <Short Messaging Service> Keys.]

 

[How to Use:

Press the Shortcut Keys on Keyboard & Press SHIFT + ENTER Simultaneously.(E.g. if Short-Cut Key is GO  then Press G and O and Press ENTER Key along with Pressing SHIFT Key.]

[Maximum Limit of Storage/Handling:

Depending upon the Size of Memory<RAM>.

A 128MB RAM Machine Can Handle 3,000 to 4,000 Shortcut Keys and Equivalent Data.

A 512MB RAM Machine Can Handel 10,000 to 15,000 Shortcut Keys and Equivalent Data.]

[Key Cancellation:

If the User Presses Backspace or Delete Key then the Memory Will Refresh. So the Shortcut Key Storage also will refresh itself. If You Want to Execute a Shortcut Key Operation the User must Complete the Sequence of the Shortcut Keys without pressing Delete or Backspace or other Characters.]

 

How to Enable / disable this Feature?

             On Default, Auto Insert Feature Option is disabled.

Ø Open Start Menu > All Programs > Sarma's Solutions and Products > Viruppappadi 1.1 > Keyboard Settings Link.

Ø On Keyboard Setting Page under the Auto Correction Option Panel there is Enable Auto Insert Check Box Containing the Auto Insertion Option.

Ø For Ex: If the user wants use the Auto Insert Facility, then  Check/Tick the Enable Auto Insert Check Box and Press the Exit Button. If Auto Insert Facility is not needed then just make the Checkbox as Unchecked.

Ø Close All Programs [Viruppappadi Software Tools].

Ø Open the Viruppappadi Software. Now the Auto Insert Facility will Start /Unload depending upon the User Selection.

 


 

Enable Auto Correction:

                         Another Unique feature of Viruppappadi is Auto Correction. This Facility Helps the Users to Replace the Wrong word with Correct Word While Typing Automatically. This facility is Based on Microsoft Word© Auto Correction Technique.  The User Can Include Any Number of Words for Storage & Replacement. And another facility of this feature is Users May Allot Word replacement as Auto Insertion. So Users can easily remember the Lingual Short-Cuts.

 

[E.g. Auto Correction Feature Like Auto Insert

If a User wants to Insert/Replace அரசாங்க ஆணை <Government Order>Which is often used in the Correspondence then the user can assign Auto Correction Entry Like அஆ.

If a User wants to Insert/Replace இந்திய ஆட்சி பணி <I.A.S>Which is often used in the Correspondence then the user can assign Auto Correction Entry Like இஆப.

If a User Types தமில் and press TAB or ENTER or SPACE key then the Software Automatically replaces the தமில் with தமிழ். So the User Need not verify or worry about the spelling mistakes. Remember this replacement is based on Dictionary Collection. Therefore Auto Correction can only be executed when the Wrong & Correct entry is available on Auto Correction collection.]

Ø Open the Viruppappadi Software. Now the Auto Correction Facility will Start /Unload depending upon the User Selection.

Enable Auto Insert Address Book:

                         Another Unique feature of Viruppappadi is Auto Insert Address Book. This Facility Helps the Users to Insert One Complete Address Details with User defined Short-cut Key. This Feature is Executed like Auto Insert. After Keying the Short-cut key Press SHIFT + ENTER Key. The Address Detail will get inserted with TAB Key Separation [Every field are separate with TAB Key].

 

[E.g.

If a User wants to Insert the address of Sarma's Solutions and Products then Press addsarma keys and Press SHIFT+ENTER. Now Complete Address is inserted into active application with active Font Family.]

If the User Presses Backspace or Delete Key then the Memory Will Refresh. So the Shortcut Key Storage also will refresh itself. If You Want to Execute a Shortcut Key Operation the User must Complete the Sequence of the Shortcut Keys without pressing Delete or Backspace or other Characters.]

 

How to Enable / disable this Feature?

             On Default, Auto Insert Address Book Feature Option is disabled.

Ø Open Start Menu > All Programs > Sarma's Solutions and Products > Viruppappadi 1.1 > Keyboard Settings Link.

Ø On Keyboard Setting Page under the Auto Correction Option Panel there is Enable Auto Insert Address Book Check Box Containing the Auto Insert Address Book Option.

Ø For Ex: If the user wants use the Auto Insert Book Facility, then  Check/Tick the Enable Auto Insert Address Book Check Box and Press the Exit Button. If Auto Insert Address Book Facility is not needed then just make the Checkbox as Unchecked.

Ø Close All Programs [Viruppappadi Software Tools].

Ø Open the Viruppappadi Software. Now the Auto Insert Address Book Facility will Start /Unload depending upon the User Selection.

 


Enable Grammar Checking:

                         The Most Powerful and Unique feature of Viruppappadi is Tamil Grammar Checking Facility. This Facility Notifies the Users to Check whether the Typed Tamil Word is Grammatically Right / Wrong and also give the Nature of Grammatical Mistake. This is Only Initial Version of Grammatical Checking in Tamil. So Grammar Auto Correction and Exact Suggestion are not available at this time.

Enable TAM99 Grammar Insertion:

One of the Simple features in Viruppappadi is TAM99 Grammar Insertion. Users may incorporate TAM99 Grammar Insertion in All Keyboard layouts. This facility helps to save time while Typing in Tamil. By Default this facility is available only on TAM99 [TAMIL NET99] Keyboard Layout. Now Viruppappadi has facilitated this feature into all Keyboard layouts.

One of the Simple features in Viruppappadi is Transliteration Keyboard Suggestion Preview. While Using Transliteration Keyboard Viruppappadi Shows One Semi Transparent Window at the Bottom of the Screen and gives Hints based on Consonants. So the Users can Type in Tamil easily and Faster.

Enable Auto Load When Windows Start:


Some of the Users Require Starting Viruppappadi Software While Windows Logon. This Option Helps to launch Viruppappadi Software Automatically While Windows Logon.

 

How to Enable / disable this Feature?

Ø Open Start Menu > All Programs > Sarma's Solutions and Products > Viruppappadi 1.1 > Keyboard Settings Link.

Ø On Keyboard Setting Page under the Software Auto Start Panel there is Enable Auto Load When Windows Start Check Box.

Ø For Ex: If the user wants Load Viruppappadi Software Automatically, then  Check/Tick the Enable Auto Load When Windows Start Check Box and Press the Exit Button. If Auto Load Option Facility is not needed then just make the Checkbox as Unchecked.

Ø Close All Programs [Viruppappadi Software Tools].

Ø After Restarting or Booting Windows the Viruppappadi Will Start depending upon the User Selection.

 


 

Define Toggle Key:


While Typing in Tamil Using Viruppappadi Software, Users if Needed to Switch over to English Mode for further typing then they have to Disable Tamil Key Driver. There is a key needed to switch between English To Tamil (or) Tamil to English. Users May Define their Desired Toggle Key (or) Switching Key With Keyboard Settings Page.

 

How to Customize Toggle Key?

Ø Open Start Menu > All Programs > Sarma's Solutions and Products > Viruppappadi 1.1 > Keyboard Settings Link.

Ø On Keyboard Setting Page under the Define Toggle Key Panel there is 4 Options Available.

Ø For Ex: If the user wants Switch From English To Tamil (or) Tamil To English With CTRL + ALT + T Key then

  Tick CTRL Check Box.

  Tick ALT Check Box.

  Select T From the Combo Box. And Press Exit Button.

Ø Close All Programs [Viruppappadi Software Tools].

Ø Open the Viruppappadi Software. Now Press the CTRL + ALT + T at the Same Time. Now the Keyboard Layout Toggling Switching From English to Tamil and Tamil to English.
